If for any reason you are not satisfied with your transfer you may return the original DVD and we will correct any problems that you might have and send you a new DVD replacement. Not one of our transfers have ever been returned for customer dissatisfaction. The condition of your original media relies on the quality of the transfer. If you send us materials that are severely damaged beyond restoration or transfer we will call you prior to any work being performed to discuss your options.

Do you copy guard the DVD disc?

No, you can make as many copies as you like. Of course, we can copy them for you using high-resolution text, graphics and photos printed directly on the disc & case to give you that professional look.

What if I want something done with my video that I don't see advertised on your site?

We will usually tailor to your needs. We are a more personalized digital service. Just call and ask.

Will the DVD play on my DVD player?

Our DVD's can be played by the vast majority of DVD-ROM drives and home video players in use today. We record on Verbatim DVD-R format disc's with an excellent compatibility rating. You can verify that your DVD player is capable of playing a DVD-R disc at www.videohelp.com

How long will data recorded on Verbatim DVD disc remain readable?

The life span of a recorded disc depends upon such things as the intrinsic properties of the materials used in the disc's construction, its manufactured quality, how well it is recorded and its physical handing and storage. Verbatim carries out accelerated age testing by subjecting samples of its discs to environments that are beyond those experienced under normal storage conditions. Based on its extensive testing, Verbatim DVD-R lasts about 100 years

What is the difference between a DVD and CD?

DVD is very similar to a CD, but it has a much larger data capacity. A standard DVD holds about seven times more data than a CD does. This huge capacity means that a DVD has enough room to store a full-length, MPEG-2-encoded movie, as well as a lot of other information.

When I transfer 8mm film to DVD can I also add clips from my video tapes?

Absolutely, although we haven't included it as an add-in on our order form yet, we can add in your video tape to your production. You can visit our VHS to DVD section on the tape transfer page for further details.

When I transfer VHS to DVD can I also add 35mm slides?

Yes, they can be positives, or negatives in monochrome or color.

Can you transfer any other size of slide to DVD besides 35mm?

Yes, we can accept smaller or larger sized slides. If mounted in a standard cardboard or plastic 2 in. X 2 in. slide holder we use our Nikon Film scanner. For medium and larger sized slides we use a Microtek flatbed film scanner.

8mm film transfer to DVD is available in both formats: Silent 8mm film & Silent Super 8mm film. We can transfer your 8mm sound movie film to video only and add a background music track. We do not transfer the sound track.

Photos, Digital Pictures, 35mm Slides or Negatives - Most shows allow for the add-in of photos, 35mm slides, 35mm negatives, and even your most recent digital pictures for an additional $0.75 each. A plus for added content to your video production.

Custom Music - The addition of music to the background of any silent 8mm film, slide show, photo show, or video tape brings essence to your video production. We offer the placement of your music throughout the entire show for a flat rate of $19.95 up to 60 minutes. If you choose to use your own custom music we can use your CD’s, audio cassettes, or vinyl records.

MiniDV Tape* - You can add this tape (up to 60 minutes) to most orders for $24.95. This will allow you to edit, author and play the original footage on your own MiniDV equipment. Also serves as an original master of your production.

VHS, SVHS, Video tape* - You can add this tape (up to 60 minutes) to most orders for $24.95. This will allow you to share your video with family and friends who do not own a DVD player and makes a great gift!

Note* All orders that have videotape available as an option are recorded on JVC MiniDV, MAXELL SVHS or FUJIFILM VHS professional grade tape stock, may be substituted with compatible tape stock if supplies becomes unavailable. All recordings to tape are set in standard play (SP).

Format Conversion - We can convert your transfers to a digital movie for viewing over the internet (QuickTime®, RealMedia™, and Windows Media), A flat rate of $24.95 will cover up to 30 minutes of conversion, $0.45 per minute thereafter. Aspect Ratio - Most Shows can be produced in either Aspect Ratio: 4:3 Fullscreen or 16:9 Widescreen.

Movie Film or Video tape Single Frame Capture - Need us to grab a picture when we transfer your 8mm film or video tape? For only $0.50 each we'll capture a frame and save your photo to one of our supported formats so you can view, edit, print, and archive on a personal computer. The pictures will be saved on your video DVD for computer access. Supported formats: Tiff, Targa, Jpeg, Bmp and Gif.
